Ornament(s) of the Day: Candy

Mmmmmm...

1. The Candy Cane

2. Mini Candy Cane

According to the ornament tag: In 17th century England, people were not allowed to celebrate Christmas. So, a candy-maker invented the candy cane. Shaped like a Shepherd's crook to symbolize Jesus, it had three thin stripes to represent the Trinity, and a larger stripe to represent the life Jesus sacrificed for all mankind.

3. Peppermint Candy

According to the ornament tag: This delightful glass ornament depicts one of the favorite traditions of the holiday season - sweets! It was carefully mouth-blown into a finely crafted mold. Then a hot solution of liquid silver was poured inside. Finally, it was hand-decorated with brightly colored lacquers and glitters for you to enjoy!

Once again, it all fits right into the color scheme - red, white, green, and gold! And you know I love me some glitter on my ornaments!
