Jack Robbins

I haven't really publically announced this yet, but just over 6 months ago - March 31, 2016 - I had my 3rd baby. A boy.

Life has felt like a blur this year - raising 3 kids ages 3 and under. But we've made some many wonderful memories too.

In an effort to not let Jack get too big without capturing him with a camera, I snapped a few 6 month photos while he was in his crib. I did a similar thing with Emma when she was almost 3 months old.

For the record, here's is what Jack looked like as a newborn.

Of all my babies, I feel like his looks have changed the most from birth to now. He's also my biggest baby in height and weight (90%+).

He's super happy. All the time. Unless he's hungry.

 He loves his feet.

He sucks his thumb like his big brother does.

He's expressive, frequently making us laugh.

He's easy-going and enjoys watching the world spin around him.

And he's had the craziest hair since birth. 2 haircuts are already in the books.

 We love our bubby.

A Little Touch of Fall

Fall is my favorite season. I love the warm colors. I love the cooler temperatures. I love jeans and sweaters. And I love decorating the house with pumpkins and candles and little woodland creatures.

I'm including just a few quick snapshots of our living room and dining room. Some "shelfies" if you will....

The BOO pumpkin was purchased at Pottery Barn a few years ago.

And these little white pumpkins are my favorite. I got a few at Meijer last week. I LOVE the long, green stems.

This dining room shelf is my favorite to decorate in the house. I change it up every season/holiday.

And this little squirrel? Target for $3!!! Target has the BEST Fall/Thanksgiving decor in their dollar spot this year! And this little guy was my favorite. I could buy all the white-ceramic-objects!

Happy Fall, Y'all!

Jeremiah's Toddler Bedroom

How is it possible that Jeremiah has turned 3 years old already? And we are now expecting baby #3 in less than 2 weeks. Eeek!

As a result, Jeremiah is getting booted out of the nursery he shares with Emma and into his own room (which will also continue to function as a guest room) so that Emma and Baby 3 can share the nursery together.

As a guest room, this tiny bedroom (10'X9') had very little in it except the furniture - bed, dresser, desk. Old curtains hung on the windows (only one panel per window too). No art or pictures were on the wall. The paint color was light and neutral but had a slightly greenish tint to it. So, I was starting with bare bones in here when it came time to create Jeremiah's new room.

I wanted to create a cute boy-ish room for Jeremiah that was still sophisticated enough for him to grow into and for guests to feel comfortable. And as usual, I had a very small budget (aroun $150) and wanted to use mostly what I already had on hand.

We started by emptying the few furniture items out of the room and Joey gave the walls 2 coats of paint  in a neutral color (with no green tint like before).

From there, I went to work adding new curtains and some new bedding, hanging art and pictures, and stocking the wall shelf with memorabilia and little boy stuff (most of it was on the shelf above his bed in the nursery).

Jeremiah is very excited about his new room. He loves the dinosaur string art and the arrow on the wall! He already took one nap in here. The black-out curtains are awesome for that!

His clothes were already stored in this room. So, he was already used to getting dressed in here, but his official move-in date with be when we get home from the hospital with baby 3!

Happy sleeping, Jeremiah!
