Our First Blog

This blog is being started as a way to keep friends and family (particularly those who don't live in the area) up-to-date with all the changes happening in the 2-story brick house we just bought. We are the 3rd owners of this 82 year old house and proud to be the next couple responsible for its care. While we love the charm and character of this old house, we feel it definitely needs to be brought into the 21st century in terms of both form and function. So, we are going to transform it, slowly, to meet the "Yonke standard". These few pics will give you an idea of what the state the house was when we first saw it and decided to buy it. More to come as the transformation has already begun!

Doors....Ahhh, such a fun memory putting in our front door. I mean, I didn't actually do it...but watching them do it seemed hard! :-> Kitchens...another chapter to discuss at length between C&J, us, and you...what will go wrong will, and everything can be disguised with trim! ;->(Do you remember, Joey?) Oh, and know where your pipes are before nailing or cutting!!! :-> Like the blog, can't wait to see the house first hand...Congratulations!!!!

BTW, I like how it says, "Relax. Put your feet up. And stay awhile"...and the next thing you read is, "Keep Out!" Bit of an oxymoron/mixed message, don't ya think?? Hmmmm? :-> JK
